“Today I behold the face
I was still painting yesterday.
A dearest memory of
long long ago.”

These photos had been made by Mirjam Geirnaert on her touring on the Islas de Pascua. The islands with their huge statues had strongly impressed her. A couple of years later she incorporated these impressions in a scenario in which women try to find their way.

As I am keen on painting photos I asked for her permission to use the scenes on the Islands for my drawings, in a way an architect first draws the house, or as a designer who first draws the car he is going to build. In this manner I’d like to invigorate the movie as well.

Identifying myself completely with the scenario I’ve tried to imagine the navel of the earth: that’s the heel or the central stone of those stones linked to ancient and powerful energies, with places of descent and eggs of birds…Rare and majestic birds recognize these energies feeding them with sound and impregnation.

Thus the “birdman” was born. Just like the stone statues perpetuating the energy spots. With the magnetic fields of the planet changing during a solar eclipse the status may become as light as a feather.

Then dimension gates open, the collective memory is activated, the solidarity with the universal source of creation widens, the ultimate exchange with the cosmic heart takes place.
